1977 Seiko Silverwave JDM Quartz Day-Date Vintage Wristwatch (7546-8010)

Seiko's Silverwave models from the late 70s incorporate features of Seiko divers (screwback case with double wave insignia, 4 o'clock screwdown crown) in a more sleek and sporty look, and this 8229 variant is no exception. The dial is finished in a lovely textured white and features a bilingual kanji/english calendar, painted roman numeral indices and applied Seiko Quartz insignia.

8229 quartz movement is keeping good time and working as expected. In good condition - case and bracelet have dings and wear as pictured. Dial has some patina. Some scratching to the crystal that doesn't quite show in my studio photos, so I've uploaded an extra photo that shows it a little better. Fitted to the original jubilee bracelet sized for an approx 17cm wrist with no extra links.
